Conducted by Brian Murray, a UW Department of Music assistant professor, the UW Collegiate Chorale is composed of 40 of the finest choral singers on the UW campus, with membership by audition only. The musicians are dedicated to performing compositions from the 15th century through the present, including commission works written especially for them.
The chorale has appeared on numerous state, regional and national convention programs of the American Choral Directors Association, the Music Educators National Conference and the Music Teachers National Conference. The group has toured extensively throughout the nation and the world.
The UW Collegiate Chorale regularly collaborates with the UW Symphony Orchestra and also regional orchestras in performances of choral/orchestral masterworks.
