UW Parking Permits Available Starting July 1

University of Wyoming parking permits for the 2023-24 academic year will be available for renewal for employees and board retirees beginning Saturday, July 1.

Employees and board retirees who held active permits during the spring semester may renew their permits online July 1-10. Current waitlists have been cleared and will reopen beginning Wednesday, July 12, for those who desire to purchase a different or new parking permit.

Lot changes for the fall include the conversion of Brown Zone 109 -- located south of the Cheney International Center -- from permit parking to reserved and short-term paid parking and the expansion/conversion of the parking lot at the corner of 15th and Bradley streets to a larger lot that will now be Brown Zone 106.

Waitlists for the Ivinson Parking Garage will offer two options. Individuals can sign up to purchase a Gold permit that allows garage-only parking, or they can sign up to purchase a Gold+ permit that allows parking in the garage as well as in other designated zones.

Parking permits for residential students will be available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning July 12. Parking permits for commuting students will be available in early August.

To order a permit online, go to www.uwyo.edu/tps. Online permit purchase options are available via credit card. Payroll deduction is available to benefited employees. Cash and check payments can be accepted at the UW Transportation Services office, located at 1602 E. Spring Creek Drive in the South Express Parking Lot.

Permit holders no longer need to display physical permits on their windshields. UW Parking Services has fully implemented license plate recognition for parking enforcement. For more information, go to www.uwyo.edu/tps/parking/enforcement.html.

Benefited employees can apply for personal reserved parking spaces. These spaces cost $1,320 per year. Reserved space holders also must purchase and hold the appropriate zone permit for the reserved parking space location. Reserved spaces are subject to availability, and they may be prioritized and assigned based on campus needs. Additional information, including the Personal Reserved Space Application, may be found at www.uwyo.edu/tps/parking/personal-reserved.html. Completed applications should be emailed to tps@uwyo.edu.

Short-term parking options also have expanded. The ability to use the ParkMobile app to park and pay by the hour has now been added to the section of meters east of Knight Hall. Individuals can pay through the app as an alternative to feeding the meter. ParkMobile and payment kiosks also are available in the Ivinson Parking Garage. Additional ParkMobile and temporary parking options will be available at a later date.

For more information about parking and parking permits, visit the UW Transportation Services website at www.uwyo.edu/tps; call the office at 766-9800; or email tps@uwyo.edu.
