Members of the public are invited to participate in a variety of science activities during the University of Wyoming’s second annual STEM Carnival Friday, Sept. 8, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Hosted by the UW Top-Tier Science Initiative, the carnival will take place at UW’s Engineering Education and Research Building (EERB), located at 1114 E. Bradley St. It will feature a wide range of engaging demonstrations and hands-on activities from STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) faculty, students, programs and local businesses.
Last year’s inaugural UW STEM Carnival was a big success, drawing participants from around the community and the state to UW’s new Science Initiative Building. This year’s carnival focuses on engineering, and attendees can explore the EERB facilities, including the Innovation Wyrkshop, the Drilling and Completions Simulation Laboratory, the Cybersecurity Education and Research Center and the Driving Simulator Laboratory.
Many other demonstrations and hands-on activities are planned as well. Refreshments will be available.
