The University of Wyoming Lab School will celebrate its 135th anniversary with a fundraiser at the UW Art Museum Thursday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m.
Alumni, parents of former students and all UW faculty and staff members who have worked with the Lab School are invited -- as is anyone who would like to celebrate the school’s history.
Tickets are $30 for general admission and $40 for VIP admission. They can be purchased here. Proceeds will go to support the Lab School’s outdoor education efforts.
The evening will include a silent auction, wine pull, hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Lab School students in grades 6-8 are creating a presentation with the help of UW’s American Heritage Center that will feature many photos from the school’s past.
UW’s Lab School offers an innovative research-based, free public education to students entering kindergarten through eighth grade -- in the heart of UW’s campus -- through a partnership with Albany County School District 1. The school is committed to student-centered project-based learning, outdoor education and the arts in cross-curricular, multiage classrooms with small student-to-teacher ratios.
