UW and Wyoming APEX Accelerator to Host ‘Lunch and Learn’ Workshop Sept. 13

For large and small contractors alike, teaming agreements are often essential to winning and successfully performing federal government contracts. Small-business owners will have an opportunity to learn about teaming agreements Wednesday, Sept. 13.

Nicole Pottroff will discuss the subject during a Wyoming APEX Accelerator “Lunch and Learn” workshop titled “Teaming Agreements With Nicole Pottroff of Koprince, McCall, Pottroff LLC” from noon-1 p.m. To register, go here. Registration is free.

Wyoming APEX Accelerator, part of the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network housed at the University of Wyoming, is the state’s expert in government contracting assistance.

Many agencies are increasingly requiring teaming agreements for a prime contractor to rely on subcontractor experience, qualifications or resources. Even where a teaming agreement is not required to compete for a contract, it can still significantly reduce the likelihood of disputes during contract performance.

In this workshop, Pottroff will explain how to develop, negotiate and administer teaming agreements that are both compliant and effective. She will cover best practices for teaming agreements that go beyond the bare minimum legal requirements and lead to more successful teams.

Pottroff is an equity partner with Koprince McCall Pottroff LLC. Her practice focuses solely on federal government contract law. She helps clients understand and comply with the complex regulatory provisions unique to federal contracting. She also assists clients by drafting, reviewing and negotiating joint venture agreements, mentor-protégé agreements, teaming agreements, subcontracts, social disadvantage narratives and other critical documents.

For more information, call Maureen Johnson, marketing, communication and database manager for the Wyoming SBDC Network, at (307) 343-0925 or email mjohn125@uwyo.edu.

The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by UW with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
