UW and Wyoming APEX Accelerator to Host Roundtable Sept. 20

Small-business owners can learn to navigate and benefit from doing business with the federal government and large federal contractors Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Janean Forsyth and Deb Farris will discuss the subject during a Wyoming APEX Accelerator Quarterly Strategic Teaming Alliance Roundtable from 8-10 a.m. To register for the webinar, go here. Registration is free.

Wyoming APEX Accelerator, part of the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network housed at the University of Wyoming, is the state’s expert in government contracting assistance.

This event is for small businesses that are interested in doing business with Northrop Grumman Corp. and other large federal contractors, often referred to as primes. Socioeconomic categories and certifications will be discussed.

Forsyth is the Wyoming APEX Accelerator program manager, and Farris is deputy district director for the Wyoming Small Business Administration (SBA). Tracy Jerman, a small business liaison officer for Northrup Grumman, and Rocky Case, center director for Manufacturing Works, are other presenters.

For more information, call Maureen Johnson, marketing, communication and database manager for the Wyoming SBDC Network, at (307) 343-0925 or email mjohn125@uwyo.edu.

The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by UW with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. SBA.
