Multicultural Affairs is hosting a pair of events in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month at the University of Wyoming.
Multicultural Affairs and its partners are hosting a “tabling event” from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, in the Wyoming Union breezeway. The event will feature activities and games to learn more about Latin American countries and their cultures.
A free public celebration at the Laramie Railroad Depot from 5:30-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, will help celebrate the UW and Laramie communities’ heritage. Among the events will be speakers from Multicultural Affairs, the UW School of Culture, Gender and Social Justice, and the UW American Studies Program. Dancing and music will be provided by regional band La Causa Norteña, and food -- while it lasts -- will be provided by Devine Eats, of Laramie.
Individuals needing accommodations for events should call Multicultural Affairs at (307) 766-6463 or email uwma@uwyo.edu.
