The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees will receive reports on a variety of initiatives and consider a new degree program in ranch management and agricultural leadership during the board’s regular meeting Wednesday-Friday, Nov. 15-17.
The meeting will be held primarily in the UW Conference Center, a change from the customary location because the Governor’s Business Forum will be taking place in the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center. Public sessions of the board and its committees may be observed by the public at https://wyolinks.uwyo.edu/trusteesnov23/.
Committees of the board will meet Wednesday in several rooms of the UW Conference Center, starting with the Facilities Contracting Committee and the Fiscal and Legal Affairs Committee at 11 a.m.
Thursday’s meeting of the full board will begin at 8 a.m. with an executive session. The public session is expected to start at 9:30 a.m.
Thursday’s scheduled reports to the board will include updates on the Wyoming Innovation Partnership; the Saddle Up student onboarding program; UW’s 2025-26 student financial aid plan; the Trustees Education Initiative; the Science Initiative; and the Tier-1 Engineering Initiative.
The board will accept public testimony on any topics at 11 a.m. Thursday. Those wishing to offer verbal testimony should go to www.uwyo.edu/trustees/public-testimony/web_form.html to fill out the web form. The deadline is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14.
During Thursday afternoon’s session, trustees are scheduled to consider authorization of the new bachelor’s degree in ranch management and agricultural leadership.
On Friday, the board begins the day with a joint meeting with UW’s Energy Resources Council at 7:30 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn’s Grand Teton Ballroom, before returning to the UW Conference Center for a 9 a.m. executive session. The trustees’ business meeting is set to start at about 10:15 a.m.
