The executive director of the Wyoming Energy Authority will discuss the agency’s support for the oil and gas industry Wednesday, Nov. 15, in Casper.
Rob Creager will speak from 7-8:30 a.m. at True River Cross Commons, located at 465 N. Poplar St. The talk is part of the University of Wyoming Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute’s “Enhanced Oil Recovery Insights” series, focused on minimizing stranded oil in Wyoming reservoirs.
Coffee and breakfast snacks will be provided. Remote attendance also is available. The event is free, but registration is required by going online to www.eoriwyoming.org/events/eori-events/eor-insights-3.
In May, Creager was appointed to lead the Wyoming Energy Authority, which was created in 2020 by the Wyoming State Legislature by merging the Wyoming Infrastructure Authority and the Wyoming Pipeline Authority with the mission to advance Wyoming’s energy strategy by driving data, technology and infrastructure investments.
Creager previously served as senior policy adviser to Gov. Mark Gordon, where he strongly emphasized Wyoming’s economic portfolio and public policy. In that role, he led multiple efforts, including implementing multiple pieces of federal legislation and executing five pandemic-related business relief programs. He is a native of Casper and a UW graduate.
