UW’s Wyoming SBDC Network Podcast Interviews Irrigation Business Owners and UW Student Entrepreneur

The Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network podcast recently featured the owners of Legacy Irrigation in Sheridan and a University of Wyoming student entrepreneur. The podcast features small-business success stories, educational topics from experts and interviews with staff and leadership. Episodes are typically released twice per month.

The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by UW with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The Wyoming SBDC Network podcast released one episode in November featuring Dustin Frost and Kevin Beagle, owners of Sheridan-based Legacy Irrigation, and one episode in December featuring Izzy Carbert, a UW student entrepreneur.

In the Nov. 1 episode, Frost and Beagle discussed the purchase of their business; how they have used their small-business acumen to make informed decisions to guide their business; and what makes veterans prime small-business owners. This episode was released as part of the Wyoming SBDC Network’s celebration of National Veterans Small Business Week, which took place Oct. 30-Nov. 3.

The Dec. 13 episode featured a conversation with Carbert, who is the owner of Carbert Cleaning as well as a UW student and an intern for the Wyoming SBDC Network’s Community Navigator Program. Carbert, of Ranchester, discussed how these three diverse experiences support each other as she learns, works and operates her business within the Laramie community.
