Utility Work to Prompt Closure of Ivinson and 15th Intersection

The installation of deep utility infrastructure for the University of Wyoming’s student housing project will necessitate the closure of the intersection of Ivinson Avenue and 15th Street.

Starting Friday, March 1, traffic control measures will be staged for the shutdown of the intersection, which will close Monday, March 4. This closure will extend through spring graduation and commencement activities.

Pedestrian access and safety will be the top priority during the closure. Signs will be updated regularly as construction activities develop.

UW is working with the city of Laramie as the city develops a detour plan for the project.

Detailed information about how UW Transportation Services bus routes will be affected, along with possible parking changes, is expected to be available by the close of business Wednesday, Feb. 28.
