UW and Wyoming Community Navigator Program to Discuss Securing Business Funding Feb. 28

Small-business owners will have an opportunity to learn how to secure funding for their businesses Wednesday, Feb. 28.

Multiple speakers will present a Wyoming Community Navigator Program (CNP) webinar titled “How to Secure Funding for Your Small Business: Tips From Lending Experts” from noon-1 p.m. To register, go here. Registration is free.

The Wyoming CNP, through the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network at the University of Wyoming, provides small-business resources and assistance for traditionally underserved entrepreneurs throughout Wyoming.

During this interactive webinar, small-business owners will hear from lending experts who will share their insights and advice on how to secure funding for small businesses. Attendees will learn about the different types of loans, grants and alternative financing options available, as well as the eligibility criteria, application process and best practices for each. Attendees also will have the opportunity to ask questions and network with other small-business owners and lenders.

Webinar speakers are Emily Kremers, marketing and education manager for the Wyoming Smart Capital Network; Alexandria Smith, microloan director for the Wyoming Women’s Business Center; Tammi Hanshaw, lender relations specialist for the U.S. Small Business Administration; Kendall Hutchinson, president of Wyoming Capital Access; and Kenny Overby, Wyoming SBDC Network regional director for Goshen and Laramie counties, who has 18 years of experience owning and running small businesses.
