UW and Wyoming SBDC Network to Host Small Business Pitch Night in Cheyenne April 17

Small-business owners from Laramie County will have the opportunity to pitch their businesses to the community Thursday, April 17.

Kenny Overby and Rachael Svoboda will moderate a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network event -- “Small Business Pitch Night: Laramie County” -- from 6-7 p.m. in the Cottonwood Room at the Laramie County Library, located at 2200 Pioneer Ave. in Cheyenne. To register, go here. Registration is free, and light refreshments will be served. The event is co-sponsored by the Laramie County Library’s Library to Business program.

The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Participating small-business owners each will give a five-minute pitch on who they are; what they are passionate about; and how their businesses provide value to the Laramie County community.

Overby is the Wyoming SBDC Network’s regional director for Goshen and Laramie counties and has 18 years of experience owning and running small businesses. He is passionate about helping entrepreneurs demystify small businesses and enjoy the journey of business ownership.

Svoboda is the business services coordinator for the Laramie County Library System.
