Whether starting with a small amount of money or a large cash infusion in the millions, small-business owners will have the opportunity to learn how to obtain funding for their companies Thursday, July 18.
Jim Drever and Tammi Hanshaw will lead a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network workshop titled “$500-$5 Million: Funding Your Small Business” from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Goshen County Library, located at 2001 E. A St. in Torrington. To register, go here. Registration is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring a lunch.
The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
During the webinar, financial experts will discuss various ways small-business owners can finance their companies. Representatives of the following entities will cover these topics:
-- U.S. SBA: Loan programs and services.
-- U.S. SBA Office of International Trade: Export grants and loans and working capital.
-- Wyoming SBDC Network: Advising and resources.
-- Wyoming Women’s Business Center: SBA microloans.
-- Wyoming Capital Access: SBA 504 loans and direct lending.
-- U.S. Department of Agriculture: Rural development programs.
-- Points West Community Bank: Conventional loans.
