Small-business owners will have the opportunity to learn sales strategies to sell their products to consumers Wednesday, Sept. 25.
Mike Burns will lead a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network webinar titled “Sales Strategies to Fuel Your Startup’s Growth” from 1-2 p.m. To register, go here. The registration fee is $15.
The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The webinar will cover the proven SPIN (situation, problem, implication and need-payoff) technique, guiding small-business owners to ask the right questions, uncover customer needs and close more deals. Perfect for small-business founders or sales staff ready to drive growth through smarter, solution-based sales conversations, this session provides a road map to turn prospects into satisfied customers and set businesses up for success.
Burns is entering his third year as the Timothy M. Miles Director for the Center for Professional Selling in UW’s College of Business. Before that, he spent 18 years working in MLB for the Philadelphia Phillies, Houston Astros, Toronto Blue Jays and Milwaukee Brewers in baseball operations roles. Burns currently teaches “Introduction to Professional Selling” and “Professional Sports Sales,” and he leads UW’s national competition team.
