UW Honors College Hosts ‘The People vs. AI’ Mock Trial

Artificial intelligence is becoming more prevalent in daily life -- whether welcomed or not. What does this mean for communities? Do people have a say? Who are the “Frankensteins” behind these digital monsters?

To address these questions, the University of Wyoming Honors College is going to court.

UW’s Honors College hosts Warm Cookies of the Revolution’s “The People vs. Artificial Intelligence (AI)” mock trial at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, in the College of Arts and Sciences auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the free public program. The UW School of Computing will co-sponsor the event.

In addition to hearing arguments for and against AI, the program will feature musical, acrobatic and circus performances, as well as other artistic performances.

Warm Cookies of the Revolution, a nonprofit organization in Denver, Colo., engages the public in crucial civic issues by creating innovative and fun arts and cultural programs.

To RSVP for the event, go here. Free cookies and tea will be provided after the program.
