Section of 15th Street Set to Reopen Tuesday

Progress on construction related to the University of Wyoming’s new residence halls will allow the reopening of a section of 15th Street Tuesday, Oct. 29.

The section of the street from Ivinson Avenue to Sorority Row is scheduled to open that day, following a closure since March 7 for installation of deep utility infrastructure for UW’s housing project -- and construction of a new roundabout that has transformed the intersection near the heart of campus.

The rest of 15th Street is scheduled to reopen as construction progresses further.

UW’s housing project involves construction of two new residence halls and a new dining facility west of 15th Street to enhance the student experience. The first new residence hall and dining facility are scheduled for occupancy in the fall 2025 semester, with the second open for the spring 2026 semester.
