UW and Wyoming SBDC Network to Host Virtual Workshop on SBIR/STTR Opportunities at DOE Dec. 16

Small-business owners can learn about Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) opportunities at the Department of Energy (DOE) Monday, Dec. 16.

Jim Greenwood will lead the discussion during a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network virtual workshop titled “Department of Energy (DOE) Letter of Intent Workshop” from 1-2 p.m. To register, go here. Registration is free.

The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The workshop will help small-business owners understand DOE’s letter-of-intent requirements and submission process; learn strategies for crafting a persuasive letter of intent; review successful letter-of-intent examples and best practices; and gain confidence in submitting a compelling letter of intent to DOE’s SBIR/STTR Program.

The workshop is for small-business owners and researchers interested in DOE funding; SBIR/STTR proposal writers and coordinators; and innovation and technology transfer professionals.

Greenwood, co-owner of Greenwood Consulting Group Inc., is a nationally recognized trainer and proposal reviewer for the SBIR and STTR programs. He has taught SBIR/STTR workshops in 48 states, plus Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., offering training through local and regional economic development groups, universities, federal laboratories, SBDCs and Manufacturing Extension Partnerships.
