Existing and new in-home child care providers will have the opportunity to improve or start their businesses.
Devan Costa-Cargill will lead the discussion during a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network webinar series titled “Running a Successful In-Home Child Care Business” from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 4, 11 and 18. To register, go here. Registration is free. A Zoom link will be provided after registration. Participants are highly encouraged to attend all three parts of the series for the full experience.
The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
During the webinar series, in-home child care business owners will engage with other entrepreneurs in the industry; draft the key components of a business plan; create financial projections for their potential businesses; and address management and planning steps for a successful launch.
Costa-Cargill is the Wyoming SBDC Network regional director for Big Horn, Hot Springs, Park and Washakie counties. She launched her consulting career in the public school system, specifically in special education. For the past 10 years, Costa-Cargill has operated her own small business, providing consultation and enrichment to families and early educators. Her work with the Wyoming SBDC Network began in April 2021, advising small-business startups through the first important steps of their journey.
