Sponsorships Being Accepted for UW Haub School’s Film Festival

logo for film festivalThe Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Wyoming invites organizations and individuals to support the Wild and Working Lands Film Festival, now in its fourth year.

This year’s festival, Thursday, March 27, in Laramie, will feature thought-provoking films that explore the vital connections between people and the landscapes where they live, work and play.

Films will be screened beginning at 7 p.m. at the Gryphon Theatre, located at 710 E. Garfield St.

“The Wild and Working Lands Film Festival showcases films that inspire audiences to better understand our world and strive for a future where both people and natural environments thrive,” says Festival Director Anastasia Brady, UW Haub School special events coordinator.

Themes include innovative research, groundbreaking solutions, paradigm shifts in environmental thinking and diverse perspectives, including Indigenous and local ways of knowing.

Ronan Donovan, a renowned conservation photographer, filmmaker and wildlife biologist, is the keynote speaker for this year’s exclusive VIP Sponsors’ Mixer preceding the film screenings, Brady says.

Best known for his work with National Geographic, Ronan’s photography and storytelling explore the relationships between humans and the natural world. In addition to his keynote presentation, Ronan will lead a hands-on student field workshop and a student lunch question-and-answer session, providing invaluable learning experiences for future conservation leaders, Brady says.

Sponsorship Opportunities

“To support the festival’s expanded programming, we are seeking sponsors who share our passion for conservation and storytelling,” Brady says. “Sponsorship is a unique opportunity to engage with an environmentally conscious audience while contributing to meaningful conversations about our shared environment.”

Sponsorship levels are:

-- Grassland Level: $500.

-- Sagebrush Level: $1,000.

-- Forest Level: $1,500.

-- Alpine Level: $2,000.

-- Summit Level: $4,000.

Sponsorships will directly support student engagement opportunities, the film festival experience and the ability to bring impactful stories to the community.

“We would love to discuss how your organization can be involved in this year’s festival,” Brady says. “Additional details about sponsorship levels, benefits and our keynote speaker are available upon request.”
