A free public art party to celebrate Youth Art Month is planned from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at the University of Wyoming Art Museum.
Created in 1961 by the Council for Art Education during March, schools, museums and art organizations nationwide celebrate the creativity of young artists.
This spring, UW’s Art Museum will honor Youth Art Month with engaging hands-on art-making activities, gallery explorations and a pizza party.
Attendees can explore the Art Museum’s newest exhibitions through the eyes and tracks of Wyoming animals in an interactive scavenger hunt. Participants can create original digital music in the building’s teaching gallery and also work on original cyanotype artwork with guest artist and wildlife ecologist Rhiannon Jakopak.
Activities are geared to all ages and are family friendly. Pizza and soda will be provided, while supplies last.
