UW Planetarium to Host Dome After Dark Event April 26

The University of Wyoming campus community can enjoy a night of music, visuals and creative energy during Dome After Dark from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Saturday, April 26. The event will close out this month’s schedule at the UW Harry C. Vaughan Planetarium.

Dome After Dark transforms the planetarium into an immersive audiovisual playground, blending music, motion and light in a way that can only be experienced under the dome. The adjacent UWIN SciDIY Makerspace will feature interactive creative activities throughout the night.

This immersive and interactive event, for ages 18 and up, includes dancing in the dome, an open bar (21 and up), snacks and light refreshments, plus special makerspace activities during the show. Tickets are $15 for Dome After Dark. Doors open at 8:30 a.m.

To get tickets or receive more information about programs, email planetarium@uwyo.edu or leave a voicemail and a call-back phone number at (307) 766-6506.

Tickets can be purchased online with a credit card, reserved by email or voicemail, or purchased at the start of the show. Cash or check is accepted at the door. To pay for tickets with a credit card, go to www.uwyo.edu/uwplanetarium/ticket.aspx.

DJ Jacqueline and Treehouse Collective will be the event headliners.

DJ Jacqueline, a 30-year veteran of the decks, delivers a masterfully curated journey through house, techno and everything in between. With a deep knowledge of the underground scene, her sets are hypnotic, soulful and unforgettable.

Treehouse Collective, represented by Brick Lee and Travis Press, is a tight-knit crew of DJs, producers and musicians who’ve been holding it down in the Mile High City with a deep love for dance floor-driven music. From house and disco to hip hop and downtempo, Treehouse Collective curates sonic experiences that honor the roots of underground culture while pushing forward-thinking sounds. Influenced by legendary Denver crews that include Milehighhouse and Humble Souls, Treehouse Collective has shared stages with icons such as Doc Martin, Fred Everything and King Britt.

The event also will feature live visuals from UW Sphere House VJs, Cypher X, Jane dePain and Space Raven.
