Small-business owners will have an opportunity to learn how to add passkeys to their Quickbooks Online or Google accounts Thursday, June 19.
Paul Johnson and Laura Baker will lead a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network webinar titled “Using Passkeys: How to Make Your Online Accounts More Secure” from noon-12:30 p.m. To register, go here. Registration is free.
The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Passkeys provide an extra layer of protection to accessing your online accounts. They are a step above passwords and even multifactor authentication. The webinar will cover what passkeys are; what makes them a more secure way to access your accounts; and the procedures to activate passkeys for both Quickbooks Online and Google accounts.
Johnson is manager of the Wyoming SBDC Network’s Cybersecurity Program.
Baker is executive director of CyberWyoming.
