Bitcoin mining opportunities, a review of digital asset policies on the state and
national level, and resources for innovative technology startups are among the topics
to be discussed at the 2025 Wyoming Blockchain Stampede at the University of Wyoming
Friday-Saturday, Sept. 19-27.
The eighth annual Wyoming Blockchain Stampede is free to attend, but registration is suggested to make sure enough seating and refreshments are available. Steve Lupien, the UW CBDI Ada Lovelace endowed director, says the Wyoming Blockchain Stampede will examine Wyoming’s future in digital innovation in areas such as education, economic development and policy making.
“Wyoming is a pioneer in digital asset policy, passing more than 50 related laws that other states and nations are emulating,” Lupien says. “National policies on digital assets are rapidly changing that should benefit Wyoming. Innovative technology, such as artificial intelligence, is impacting our future. Wyoming’s tremendous energy and rare earth element resources will play a key role in this future. The Stampede will provide the public, policy makers, industry and energy representatives, educators and students with an opportunity to learn more and exchange ideas.”
