The University of Wyoming has created a collaborative space for faculty and staff, current students, prospective students and their parents, alumni and the public.
UW Dining Services has partnered with the Office of Admissions to develop this unifying space within Rendezvous Cafe in Ross Hall where all can share in the heartbeat of campus life.
As part of this change, the Office of Admissions’ Campus Visit Center will move from the Wyoming Union to the Rendezvous Cafe, which is changing its lineup as a result of the opening of UW’s new Dining Center adjacent to North Hall.
Rendezvous Cafe’s hours, which begin Monday, Aug. 25, will be 8 a.m.-2 p.m., and it will feature Jackrabbit Java coffee and tea beverages, as well as scratch-made pastries from the new Bucking Horse Bakery in the Dining Center.
Hours for the Office of Admissions’ Campus Visit Center will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
“We are delighted to be able to showcase the UW campus from within Rendezvous Cafe,” says Shelley Dodd, interim vice provost for enrollment management and director of admissions. “This will be a space where faculty and staff can still stop in for coffee and pastries, interact with our current students, as well as welcome prospective students and their parents. We want this to be a place where everyone can feel welcome and continue to engage with UW.”
