Small-business owners, entrepreneurs and startups will have an opportunity to secure strategic investors for their businesses Friday, Sept. 26.
Oltac Unsal will lead a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network webinar titled “Securing Strategic Investors and Partners” from noon-1:30 p.m. To register, go here. Registration is free.
The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The webinar is tailored to help small-business owners attract investors who bring more than just capital to the table. The session will explore the unique dynamics of strategic investment, focusing on finding partners who align with your business’s long-term vision and can provide industry expertise, market access or operational synergies.
Attendees will learn how to identify and approach strategic investors, structure mutually beneficial agreements and leverage partnerships to scale their operations. Through real-world examples, expert-led discussions and practical exercises, participants will gain the tools to develop a strategic investment strategy that fosters sustainable growth while building valuable partnerships in their industry.
Unsal, an adviser on venture investing for Tambourine Innovation Ventures, has extensive experience in the technology entrepreneurship, investment and development sectors. He is president of Smyrna Capital and has invested in more than 45 startups in technology, renewable energy and other opportunistic business sectors. His success in entrepreneurial ventures is greatly attributable to his mentoring of the portfolio businesses on market positioning, growth and sales strategy. In these ventures, he has led the development of numerous products, from conception to lab tests to mass engineering and sales.
