The University of Wyoming Honors College’s semiannual magazine has been named a first-place publication among the college’s peers nationally and internationally.

The top award from the National Collegiate Honors Council was in the category of magazines published by faculty/administrators. Assistant Dean Breezy Taggart edits the UW publication, with collaborators including student graphic design intern Catcher Russell.

“This award recognizes the wonderful work of our editor and her terrific team of collaborators,” Honors College Dean Peter Parolin says. “The honors magazine is a major way to share our college’s abundant stories of student success. We put serous effort into it, and it’s extremely gratifying to have our national organization recognize the quality of our work.”

UW’s Honors College magazine -- which can be accessed here -- has highlighted activities and perspectives of the college’s students and faculty since 2019. These include hands-on learning experiences, study abroad, research, interdisciplinary collaborations and career preparation.

The National Collegiate Honors Council has been a leader in honors education since its founding in 1965, supporting programs across the U.S. and beyond.
