Wyoming high school students interested in teaching careers will visit the University
of Wyoming for Teach Wyoming Day Friday and Saturday, Nov. 7-8.
Teach Wyoming Day is a collaboration among UW’s College of Education, the Wyoming
School-University Partnership and UW’s Office of Admissions.
The two-day event gives students the opportunity to stay in the UW residence halls,
network with UW College of Education faculty and staff, and connect with UW admissions
personnel. Students will participate in in-depth learning about career tracks in education,
college course and workshop experiences; and tours and exploration of innovative spaces
on the UW campus.
Teach Wyoming Day coincides with UW’s Showcase Saturday for prospective students Nov. 8.
“Showcase Saturday is the perfect opportunity for students to experience the University
of Wyoming and get an inside look at student life here on campus,” organizers say.
“Students will get to meet with faculty, staff and current students while also learning
about academic programs, student organizations, admissions and more.”
At the UW Showcase Saturday, students will have the chance to attend a Resource Fair,
with representatives of academic colleges, campus departments, student organizations
and the Office of Admissions. Lunch will be provided at UW’s new Dining Center at
North Hall.
Students interested in participating can learn more and register here.
