Timnath Middle School Band, under the direction of Andrea Frost, takes the stage to
perform a brief program, with members of the UW Symphonic Band joining them.
Following this opening, the UW Symphonic Band, under the direction of Matthew Schlomer,
will present a mix of core repertoire, including Gustav Holst’s timeless “Second Suite
in F” and Vincent Persichetti’s dynamic “Divertimento,” as well as new works from
contemporary composers Jarod Hall and Andrew Boysen.
UW’s Department of Music offers thanks to the parents, teachers and administrators at Timnath Middle School for supporting this collaboration.
