The University of Wyoming Art Museum is accepting submissions for “Outside Office Hours,” a juried exhibition showcasing the creative work of UW faculty and staff. Entries will be accepted through CaFÉ (CallForEntry.org) through Jan. 11.

Opening in April, “Outside Office Hours” marks a major expansion of the traditional UW Faculty and Staff Exhibition. In partnership with Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Galleries, this year’s exhibition introduces a new cross-institutional model designed to elevate visibility, strengthen professional networks and situate UW’s creative community on a national stage.

As part of this collaborative exhibition exchange, Véronique Côté, director and chief curator of FAU Galleries, will jury and curate the UW Faculty and Staff Exhibition. At FAU, works by FAU faculty and staff will be juried by Michelle Sunset, director of curatorial affairs at the UW Art Museum.

To deepen the collaboration, two artists from each institution will have selected works travel to the partner university, fostering cross-campus dialogue and wider professional recognition.

The exhibitions will be on view at the UW Art Museum April 16-Sept. 12 and at FAU’s Schmidt Center Gallery April 16-July 17.

With an M.A. from Harvard University and an MFA from the University at Buffalo, Côté is known for interdisciplinary curatorial work that bridges the humanities, natural sciences, history and art. She has held leadership positions at the Center for Exploratory and Perceptual Arts, the Pérez Art Museum Miami, Nova Southeastern University and West Virginia University. In 2025, she was named a Propel Fellow by the Association of Art Museum Curators.

The exhibition is open to all UW faculty and staff, across all departments, full-time and part-time. All media are welcome. Students are not eligible; they are encouraged to apply for the annual Juried Student Exhibition.

“Outside Office Hours” offers participants the opportunity to gain national visibility through an academic museum partnership; present work in conversation with another university’s creative community; and contribute to a cross-country exchange that enriches both campuses and their cultural networks.
