The University of Wyoming will host its fall Readiness Rally Wednesday, Nov. 19, in
the Wyoming Union, bringing together students, faculty and staff to celebrate academic
preparedness and student success.
The event, organized by UW’s Student Success and Graduation, will take place from
10 a.m.-2 p.m. and will feature interactive booths, giveaways and opportunities for
students to connect with campus resources. Student success and advising staff across
campus will be available to meet with students. This includes on-the-spot advising
for those who’ve not finalized their spring semester course schedules.
“The Readiness Rally is a chance for students to engage with the tools and support
systems that help them stay on track and thrive at UW,” says Abby Markley, interim
associate vice president and dean of Student Success and Graduation. “We want students
to feel confident and empowered as they move through their academic journey.”
Participants will have access to advising services specific to their college, career
planning resources and financial aid information, along with free food and fun activities.
While the event is open to all UW students, undergraduate students will have the opportunity
to enter a drawing for one of two $1,000 scholarships and secure a one-of-a-kind sweatshirt
while supplies last. For graduate students and soon-to-be-graduates, there will be
booths with resources specific to their needs, including commencement. For complete
details and a list of colleges available to meet with students, visit the Readiness Rally website.
