As the semester comes to a close, a number of free wellness and de-stress events are planned for University of Wyoming students during Decompress Fest.

 

UW Libraries, the Wellness Center, LeaRN, the Writing Center, the Associated Students of UW (ASUW), the UW Innovation Network (UWIN) and Residence Life will offer opportunities for students to manage end-of-semester stress starting Monday, Dec. 1, through Monday, Dec. 8.

 

On the main floor of Coe Library, there will be coloring pages to submit for a coloring contest by Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. Also featured will be brain break games, coloring, a Stick Together pixel puzzle, guess the number of items in the jar, a craft table, the wellness wheel, a jigsaw puzzle and Legos every day.

 

The UW Wellness Center will offer massage chairs and RelaxSpace Wellness pods by appointment, and the Zen Den relaxation lounge is available from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday in Room 107 of Half Acre Recreation and Wellness Center. Campus Recreation also will continue to have guided fitness classes that students can sign up for through the FitDegree app.

 

Every weekday of the Decompress Fest, one lucky UW student will win a VIP study room upgrade when reserving a room online. Winners will get dinner for themselves and up to three other classmates.

 

In addition to these activities, UW Libraries will host special wellness and de-stress events. These events will take place on the main floor of Coe Library next to the UWIN Coe Student Innovation Center, unless noted otherwise.

Monday, Dec. 1:

 

-- 10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Foot massage pods.

-- 10 a.m. until supplies run out: Card making craft kits.

-- 10 a.m. until supplies run out: Hot chocolate to go

-- 3 p.m.: Beverage break.

 

Tuesday, Dec. 2:

 

-- 10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Foot massage pods.

-- 10 a.m. until supplies run out: Bookmark craft kits.

-- Noon-1 p.m.: Time management workshop in Coe Library Room 218.

-- 1-3 p.m.: Button making.

-- 3 p.m.: Beverage break.

-- 3-5 p.m.: Video game hangout in Coe Library Room 123.

-- 5-7 p.m.: Journaling with the Writing Center in Coe Library Room 121.

 

Wednesday, Dec. 3:

 

-- 10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Foot massage pods.

-- 10 a.m. until supplies run out: Sleep mask craft kits.

-- 10-11:30 a.m.: Smoothie bike.

-- Noon-1 p.m.: Digital Zine Workshop in Coe Library Room 237, registration required.

-- 3 p.m.: Beverage break.

-- 5-6:30 p.m.: Music bingo with ASUW in Coe Library Room 506.

-- 6:30-8 p.m.: Mocktails and moth needle felting craft in Coe Library Room 506.

 

Thursday, Dec. 4:

 

-- 9 a.m. until supplies run out: Grab and go breakfast at the entrance of Coe Library.

-- 10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Foot massage pods.

-- 10 a.m. until supplies run out: Picture frame craft kits.

-- 12:15-12:45 p.m.: Drop-in meditation in Enzi STEM Facility Room 105.

-- 1-3 p.m.: Hot glue craft time.

-- 3 p.m.: Beverage break.

-- 5-5:45 p.m.: Puppy Playdate in Half Acre Room 115.

-- 9-10 p.m.: Late night cookies, milk and story time in Coe Library Room 506.

 

Friday, Dec. 5:

 

-- 9 a.m.-until supplies run out: Free fruit Friday in Half Acre Room 107.

-- 10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Foot massage pods.

-- 9 a.m.-noon: Smoothie bike in Half Acre Room 107.

-- 10 a.m. until supplies run out: Pennant flag craft kits.

-- 3 p.m.: Beverage break.

 

Sunday, Dec. 7:

 

-- 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m.: Step Finals-Stravaganza in Coe Library level 1.

 

Monday, Dec. 8:

 

-- 10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Foot massage pods.

-- 10 a.m. until supplies run out: Plant pot craft kits.

-- Noon-1 p.m.: Mini-masterpiece craft.

-- 3 p.m.: Beverage break.

-- 3-4 p.m.: Calligraphy with Kevin in Half Acre Room 115.
