A U.S. military veteran who has worked for the Department of Defense and in education
roles has been named the new leader of the Marna M. Kuehne Foundation Veterans Services
Center at the University of Wyoming.
Ted Griffith assumes his new role Monday, Jan. 12.
“We are thrilled about the latest opportunities ahead for the Veterans Services Center
and all of the students,” says Nycole Courtney, UW’s vice president for student affairs.
“We will continue expanding access to and awareness of how veterans and dependents
can use the center and its resources, and we also will foster connections among them
in the coming years. As Ted settles in, we will work with campus partners to schedule
some meet-and-greets as well.”
Griffith is a veteran who has navigated the higher education journey himself: He earned
a B.S. in business administration and an M.A. in adult education, both from Trident
University International.
He has over 21 years of experience, including 16 years with the Department of Defense as a department manager for Incirlik Air Base in Adana, Turkey. He also has served in multiple roles at McGuire Air Force Base in Trenton, N.J., and worked as an online school course director at the Expeditionary Center in Fort Dix, N.J.
