Night to Shine Laramie, a prom-style celebration honoring individuals with special
needs ages 14 and older, will take place Friday, Feb. 13, from 4-8 p.m. at the University
of Wyoming Conference Center.
Sponsored by New Life Church in partnership with the Hilton Garden Inn Laramie --
part of the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation’s Humanitarian Hotel portfolio -- the
event will bring together families, volunteers, community partners and local leaders
for an evening centered on joy, dignity and love.
Night to Shine is a global movement sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and hosted
in 62 countries worldwide to create an inclusive and uplifting experience for honored
guests. Laramie will be a part of the worldwide Night to Shine community, offering
each guest the full red-carpet treatment and crowning every attendee as king or queen
of the prom.
“We are honored to bring Night to Shine to Laramie,” says Chris Green, president of
Humanitarian Hotels for the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation. “Our team is committed
to creating an unforgettable, joy-filled evening for every guest and family who joins
us. We look forward to a night that will uplift hearts and bring our entire community
together.”
“This event reflects the heart of our city,” adds Pastor Matt Baumgartner of New Life
Church Laramie, the official host of the event. “Night to Shine is about celebrating
the worth, dignity and God-given purpose of every individual. We are grateful for
the chance to serve our community alongside so many dedicated partners and volunteers.”
Night to Shine Laramie will feature red-carpet arrivals with cheering fans, including
the UW cheer squad; boutonnieres and corsages; professional photography; a full dinner
and festive dance floor; sensory-friendly and quiet spaces; volunteer buddies for
each honored guest; and special appearances and entertainment.
Registration for guests and volunteers is underway. Because the event is provided
at no cost to participants, Night to Shine Laramie welcomes partnerships, donations
and volunteer support from across the region.
“As a Humanitarian Hotel, we see firsthand how powerful this community can be when
it comes together,” says Marty Schaefer, general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn
Laramie. “Sponsorships allow us to offer Night to Shine Laramie at no cost to our
guests, and they help cover essential expenses such as required background screenings,
on-site medical personnel and other critical elements that ensure a safe and exceptional
experience.”
Businesses and individuals interested in sponsoring the event may email Schaefer at
