This year’s festival, scheduled Thursday, March 26, in Laramie, will feature thought-provoking films that explore the vital connections between people and the landscapes where we live, work and play.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with film screenings starting at 7 p.m. at the Gryphon Theatre, located at 710 E. Garfield St.

The Wild and Working Lands Film Festival showcases films that inspire audiences to better understand our world and strive for a future where both people and natural environments thrive. Themes will include innovative research; groundbreaking solutions; paradigm shifts in environmental thinking; and diverse perspectives, including Indigenous and local ways of knowing.

To support the festival’s expanded programming, the Haub School is seeking sponsors who share a passion for conservation and storytelling. Sponsorship is a unique opportunity to engage with an environmentally conscious audience while contributing to meaningful conversations about our shared environment.

The keynote speaker of this year’s exclusive VIP Sponsors’ Mixer, which precedes the film screenings, is Todd Wilkinson, a nationally known, award-winning journalist, author and lecturer.

Wilkinson’s expertise focuses on the importance of wildlife and wild places in our world -- he has earned recognition for writing and investigative reporting about the greater Yellowstone ecosystem. Wilkinson also will offer a student lunch Q&A session and field-based journalism writing workshop for students with immersive, practice-based learning opportunities for the next generation of conservation storytellers.

Sponsors can join at the following sponsorship levels: Grassland Level, $500; Sagebrush Level, $1,000; Forest Level, $1,500; Alpine Level, $2,000; and Summit Level, $4,000.

Sponsorships will directly support student engagement opportunities, the film festival experience and the ability to bring impactful stories to the community.

More information about sponsorship levels, benefits and Wilkinson’s keynote event are available upon request. For more information or to become a sponsor, email festival Director Anastasia Brady at abrady2@uwyo.edu or visit www.uwyo.edu/haub/events/film-festival/.
