Small-business owners, entrepreneurs and startups will have the opportunity to learn how to use various artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots to enhance their marketing, market research and intellectual property protection skills Tuesday, March 3.

Paul Johnson, Kayley Achi and Monica Patten will lead a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network webinar, titled “AI Marketing, Market Research and Intellectual Property Workshop,” from noon-12:30 p.m. To register, go here. Registration is free.

The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

During the webinar, Achi will demonstrate how Google Gemini can help small-business owners conduct basic market research tasks. Johnson will demonstrate how to use Claude AI to easily create marketing content for social media, websites or product descriptions. Patten will discuss what information small-business owners should and should not share with AI chatbots to keep their trade secrets safe and protect their intellectual property.

Johnson is the cybersecurity for small business program manager for the Wyoming SBDC Network.

Achi is the program manager for the Wyoming SBDC Network’s Market Research Center.
