UW Housing Fair Wednesday; Applications Open for Residence Halls, Apartments
Published February 09, 2026
Students looking for on-campus housing for 2026-27 can get all of their questions
answered at the University of Wyoming’s annual Housing Fair from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday,
Feb. 11, in the North Hall dining atrium.
“Living on campus is not only convenient, but studies also have shown that students
achieve higher grade points than those students who live off campus,” says Kim Zafft,
UW director of housing. “Also, living on campus, whether in a residence hall or in
an on-campus apartment complex, helps students build connections, which is a key factor
in long-term academic success.”
Whether you’re exploring your options or already planning to apply, the Housing Fair
is the best place to learn everything you need to know about living on campus. At
the fair, attendees can:
-- Explore the options and benefits of living in UW’s residence halls and apartments.
-- Select a fall residence hall room with a completed application.
-- Get detailed information about UW apartments.
-- Schedule an in-person apartment tour.
-- Enjoy games, activities and lots of giveaways.
-- Enjoy the special dining menu, created especially for the event.
Living in a residence hall is a big part of the UW experience, Zafft says.
“You’ll live close to classes, dining and friends,” she says. “The halls offer a mix
of traditional double, suite style and single rooms, as well as communities focused
on academics, leadership and much more.”
UW apartments -- Bison Run, Landmark Village, Spanish Walk and River Village -- offer
students a more independent lifestyle, while still being part of the university community.
What’s more, Spanish Walk features the only all-one-bedroom complex in Laramie, and
Landmark Village is pet-friendly.
“They’re a great fit for upperclassmen, graduate students, students with families
or anyone looking for extra space and privacy,” Zafft says. “Apartments are managed
just like regular housing with maintenance services and easy access to campus resources.”
As a reminder, applications are currently open for on-campus housing; students can
apply for housing here.
