The University of Wyoming Center for Global Studies will host a Tunisia Showcase Thursday,
Feb. 26, from 3-7 p.m., in Room 127 of UW’s Business Building, celebrating the history,
impact and future of the Wyoming-Tunisia State Partnership.
The showcase will explore the longstanding partnership; highlight recent faculty research
conducted in Tunisia; feature a keynote address by Mohamed Malouche, of Deloitte Afrique;
and end with a catered poster reception. Attendees may participate in the full program
or attend individual sessions.
Malouche is the public-sector lead partner at Deloitte Afrique, with 26 years of experience
advancing public-sector modernization, governance reform, local economic development
and sustainability initiatives across Francophone Africa. He advises governments and
investment and export agencies on national strategy, operating models, performance
management, and digital and innovation transformation, leading Deloitte Afrique’s
work in these areas across 19 countries.
Malouche also is the founder and board chairman of the Tunisian American Young Professionals,
where he has supported key U.S.-Tunisia partnerships in technology, trade and entrepreneurship,
and has written on diaspora-led development for outlets including Foreign Policy,
the Atlantic Council and the Aspen Institute.
The Wyoming-Tunisia State Partnership was established through the National Guard State
Partnership Program and has been led by the Wyoming National Guard since 2004. The
program fosters long-term relationships between Wyoming and Tunisia through professional
exchanges, joint training exercises and collaborative initiatives that promote stability,
security and shared expertise. The partnership is expanding through UW, in collaboration
with Tunisian universities and research institutes.
