Published May 28, 2026
The University of Wyoming Energy Resources Council (ERC) will meet at 9 a.m. Monday,
June 1, for a special meeting to be conducted virtually.
The purpose of the meeting is for the ERC to consider finalists for the School of
Energy Resources (SER) executive director position. The meeting will take place in
both public and executive session in accordance with Wyoming law.
The ERC then will meet at 8 a.m. Friday, June 5, for the council’s regularly scheduled
quarterly meeting. The truncated meeting will be conducted entirely online.
SER Acting Executive Director Scott Quillinan will provide an overview of major SER
activities, followed by select SER division reports and a finance update.
Interested members of the public wishing to listen in on the meeting may request access
to the Zoom link by emailing Christine Reed at christine.reed@uwyo.edu.
The ERC was established by the Wyoming State Legislature in 2006. Made up of industry,
state government and academia representatives, the council provides direction to SER
priorities for research and outreach.
SER provides undergraduate education and graduate research opportunities; conducts
research on existing and emerging energy resources; and disseminates scientific, engineering
and economic information to support Wyoming’s near- and long-term energy future.
Information about SER is available at www.uwyo.edu/SER.
