Associate Professor Mia Williams, in the University of Wyoming College of Education’s
School of Counseling, Leadership, Advocacy and Design, has been selected to participate
in the Google & GSV Ed Leader Fellowship Program.
Williams is part of a distinguished inaugural cohort that includes 27 higher education
leaders, chief information officers and academic innovators from across the continent.
Williams is helping shape a transformational opportunity centered on a research-to-practice
lab concept at UW that uses artificial intelligence (AI) and human-centered design
to strengthen teaching, innovation and pathways to success for students on campus
and across Wyoming. Her participation reflects both her leadership in higher education
innovation and her commitment to building thoughtful, future-focused change that can
benefit learners, institutions and communities.
As a Google & GSV Ed Leader Fellow, Williams joins a global community of pedagogical
visionaries focused on one of the most urgent frontiers in higher education: the intersection
of teaching, learning and technology. They’re leveraging AI and human-centered design
to grow pathways to success for every student, from the first-generation freshman
at a research university to the working professional attending a community college.
Williams also is a past UW Presidential Faculty Fellow.
