UW and Wyoming SBDC Network to Host Business Workshop in Kemmerer June 9
Published June 02, 2026
For anyone contemplating starting a small business, the thought alone can be daunting. However, advice and assistance are available.
Rob Condie will lead a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network business workshop titled “Start Your Own Business – Kemmerer” Tuesday, June 9, from 6-8 p.m. at the Oyster Ridge Board of Cooperative Educational Services, located at 20 Adaville Drive in Diamondville. To register, go here. Registration is free.
The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Whether entrepreneurs have a fully formed concept or just the spark of an idea, this session will break down the startup process into clear, manageable pieces. The workshop will help budding small-business owners cut through the confusion and focus on what truly matters to get their businesses off the ground.
During the workshop, attendees will learn how to test their ideas to figure out whether a business idea can actually make money before a dime is spent; locate customers by identifying exactly who wants to buy and where to find them; fund their dreams through small local grants to larger business loans; and how to get local support by connecting with free, ongoing resources and experts in Wyoming.
Condie is the Wyoming SBDC Network regional director for Lincoln, Sublette, Sweetwater and Uinta counties.
