Small-business owners, entrepreneurs and startups will have an opportunity to learn about Mythos, a new artificial intelligence (AI) model, and a digital assistant, known as Open Claw, Thursday, July 16.

Paul Johnson and Laura Baker will lead a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network webinar titled “AI Tools Update: What Do Mythos and Open Claw Mean to the AI World?” from noon-12:30 p.m. To register, go here. The event is co-hosted by the Wyoming SBDC Network Cybersecurity for Small Business Program and CyberWyoming.

The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

During the webinar, attendees will explore the cybersecurity implications of using online AI tools. Specifically, the group will look at the new AI model Mythos that has been developed by Anthropic but is not yet available. Additionally, the speakers will delve into the free, open-source, autonomous digital assistant Open Claw, and why the word “autonomous” might be something to approach with caution. Other current AI topics also will be covered during the session.

Johnson is manager of the Wyoming SBDC Network’s Cybersecurity Program.

Baker is executive director of CyberWyoming.
