A nonpartisan forum featuring gubernatorial, legislative and local election candidates
is scheduled Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 5-8 p.m. at the University of Wyoming. It’s
open to the public.
Coordinated by UW’s Faculty Senate, Staff Senate and the Associated Students of UW,
the forum will take place in UW’s Arts and Sciences Auditorium. The moderated candidate
forum is scheduled from 5:30-7:30 p.m., with informal conversations with candidates
to follow from 7:30-8 p.m.
“Our goal is to create an informative, welcoming and politically neutral environment
where university members and the greater Laramie community can hear directly from
candidates, learn about their priorities and engage in meaningful conversations,”
organizers say.
In addition to candidates for governor, the forum is expected to feature candidates
for Wyoming House Districts 13, 14, 45 and 46; the Albany County Commission, assessor,
attorney, clerk, clerk of district court, coroner, sheriff and treasurer; and Laramie
City Council Wards 1-3.
