The University of Wyoming Alumni Association (UWAA) has selected the winners of the
2026 Homecoming Parade Saturday, Sept. 26, as part of its annual Homecoming celebrations
sponsored by UniWyo Credit Union.
The “Cowboy Fever”-themed parade brought thousands of alumni, friends and community
members together along the streets of Laramie, with brown and gold pride booming throughout.
The 2026 parade also featured UW alumni Candy (Carroll) France and Jana (Carroll)
Cook as this year’s grand marshals. These sisters led the parade wonderfully as longtime
supporters of UW.
Parade entries were evaluated for creativity, execution and theme alignment. The winners
are:
Overall winner: UW Department of Visual Arts.
Best walking group: UniWyo Credit Union.
Best use of theme: UW Foundation.
Most spirited: UW Native American Education, Research and Cultural Center.
“The 2026 Homecoming Parade drew an amazing crowd along this year’s new route, and
these awardees set a new bar for future parades,” organizers say. “Homecoming 2027
will be here before we know it, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you.”
