The University of Wyoming is a member of the Engagement Scholarship Consortium (ESC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization dedicated to building strong university-community partnerships anchored in the rigor of scholarship.

As part of a member institution, current UW students, staff, faculty and leaders have access to a variety of ESC resources and opportunities for 2026-27.

ESC is accepting applications for its Engaged Scholarship Research/Creative Activities Grants Program for Faculty and Staff. The program provides financial support to help facilitate engaged scholarship that is mutually beneficial for scholars and communities. Faculty and staff may apply for up to $5,000 to fund a one-year project.

The deadline to submit applications is Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time.

ESC expects all applicants and awardees to adhere to their institution’s contract and grants policies. UW faculty or staff who plan to apply should email UW’s Compliance, Proposals, Agreements and Strategic Services at research@uwyo.edu or call (307) 766-5320 as soon as possible for guidance on grant application processes.
