State, national and international media frequently feature the University of Wyoming

In an article headlined “The Laramie Lab Geniuses Leading Wyoming’s Biotech Boom,”
Cowboy State Daily covered budding UW startups Unlocked Labs, MayPall and bDrones. Unlocked Labs aims
to produce a postbiotic supplement to prevent kidney stones; MayPall produces a natural
mouthwash sweetened with birch extract; and bDrones is focused on using RNA to create
an advanced cancer treatment.
UW and Wyoming were featured in a New York Times article about the state’s educational attainment efforts at a time when many are
questioning the value of college degrees.
The rodeo medicine program at UW’s Cheyenne Family Medicine Residency Center was highlighted
by Cowboy State Daily. Doctors trained in the program helped save the life of rodeo cowboy Dylan Terro
at Cheyenne Frontier Days in July.
UW is a partner in the new Language and Literacy Initiative announced by Superintendent

More than 27,400 pounds of food was collected and donated to anti-hunger organizations
