State, national and international media frequently feature the University of Wyoming
and members of its community in stories. Here is a summary of some of the recent coverage:
Scott Beaulier, UW’s H.A. “Dave” True Family Dean of the College of Business, penned
an op-ed that was picked up by Cowboy State Daily, the Wyoming Tribune Eagle and other outlets. It’s the fifth in a series of op-eds written by UW leaders ahead
of the 2026 legislative session.
Josh Allen’s return to his alma mater for his jersey retirement ceremony received
extensive media attention, including People Magazine, the New York Times, TMZ, the Buffalo News, WBLK Radio, Cowboy State Daily, the Wyoming Tribune Eagle, Wyoming Public Media and 7220 Sports.
Charles Mason, the H. A. “Dave” True Jr. Chair in Petroleum and Natural Gas Economics in UW’s Department of Economics, is quoted in a WUFT article marking the 15th anniversary of the Deepwater Horizon disaster off of the Florida coast. While the federal government is hungry to pump more oil out of the Gulf of Mexico, the industry might not share the same appetite, Mason says.
The “Re-Storying the West” program led by UW Department of English Associate Professor
Nancy Small was highlighted by Wyoming Public Media. The three-year project is gathering stories of everyday Wyomingites from all around
the state.
An op-ed by UW law Professor George Mocsary calling for the nation’s air traffic control
system to be privatized was published by the Federalist.
The Cody Enterprise picked up UW’s release about the research of UW Assistant Professor Isaac Logicki, who has examined the interaction of chemical pollutants and invasive species.
