A research team that included UW Professor Mark Clementz found that volcanic eruptions in the Andes resulted in global cooling millions of years ago. The research was highlighted by media outlets including earth.com, Eurasia Review and Bioengineer.org.

A mild winter will likely help Wyoming’s big game herds but, if drought conditions persist, it could be difficult for those animals to find forage, UW researcher Kevin Monteith told WyoFile.
