The mission of the UW AADE chapter is to disseminate knowledge of the theory and practice of all aspects of drilling engineering and the furtherance of the professional development of our student members.

The American Rock Mechanics Association (ARMA) is a
professional and international engineering and scientific society, which promotes
interaction among specialists, practitioners, scholars, and educators in rock mechanics
and geomechanics.

The UW IADC chapter's mission is to provide unique opportunities to gain technical knowledge of drilling engineering around the world. We intend to achieve this goal through the hosting of technical speakers, alumni and industry professional mentorship, and on-campus training courses.
