  • World-class facilities: UW houses the world’s most advanced Drilling and Completions Simulation Lab in higher education, plus top-tier labs for drilling fluids, petrophysics, production, and project design. We are also home to the High Bay Research Facility, which houses the Center of Innovation for Flow Through Porous Media and the Energy Innovation Center, with cutting-edge labs for oil recovery, hydrogen storage, and carbon capture.
  • Faculty conduct ground-breaking research in areas such as clean energy, shale gas, shale oil, rock physics and reservoir modeling.
